Clicking to Success! Lighthouse
The VHS-broadcast program, "Technology Rocks," serves as an instructional model for integrating technology into the classroom or home learning environment. This program demonstrates students using a variety of technology in the classroom and serves as an introduction to learning aids such as brainstorming software, drawing programs, and the internet as a research tool.

Students explore the history of the state of Michigan and discover how Land + People + Government = State. This entertaining and informative program provides teachers, parents, and other educators with a guide to enhancing Social Studies, English Language Arts, and other Critical Thinking paths.
Core Concepts

Technology Rocks demonstrates how students use technology to:

Gather information and
do research

Organize and create projects that help them understand their state and its history.


Students are introduced to the equation Land + People + Government = State

Land: Physical and human characteristics of the land and mapping.
People: The first residents of Michigan and the history of migration in Michigan.
Government: The role of citizens in state government.
