The CD-ROM, Technology Rocks, is an exciting way for your students to learn about the state of Michigan using technology!

Designed to complement the Technology Rocks VHS-broadcast program with a closer look at the formula "Land + People + Government = State," there are nine interactive activities for students
to explore as they find out what makes Michigan
a great state!

Students can create and print poems, postcards, projects, and worksheets to share with families and friends.

Students' activities are divided into three sections, plus an introduction that contains a basic welcome and introduction to the formula "Land + People + Government = State"

Section One - Land
- Physical and human characteristics of land
- Human and environment interaction, historically and geographically
- Connection/relationship to region

Section Two - People
- History of the people in Michigan
- Traditions and cultural aspects of people in Michigan
- Movement, including migration and ways of getting around

Section Three - Government
- Events in the history of Michigan that were shaped by national and state law
- Taking action and the decision- making process
- Practice applying what has been learned to real world situations
