The VHS-broadcast
program, "Follow Your Path," serves
as an instructional model for classroom or home
assignment. Students explore their personal history
as they travel "their path" from past
to present, into the future. They construct murals,
write compositions, and compose songs to describe
their region "then and now." Students
in Marquette, in the Upper Peninsula, create a
table model of their Lake Superior shoreline to
better understand their region.
To enhance the concept of time
travel, several short visits to
Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield
Village in Dearborn, Michigan
are also featured as part of this
lively video. This entertaining
and informative program provides
teachers, parents, and other educators
with a guide to enhancing Social
Studies, English Language Arts,
and other Critical Thinking paths.
