![]() Ralph never saw anybody. He was so smart. He took things apart and put them together again. He thought that a smart person should not have fun. He only wanted to learn about bacteria, radio waves, and dust particles.
He looked at a dust particle through a microscope. The dust particle said, "I have a secret formula to make you shrink. Go through the vacuum to see how much fun dust particles have."
He did.
All the dust particles were flying around and he was too! He was doing back flips and loops and spirals.
He read that a vacuum fan is driven by an electric motor. So he jumped on and drove down the loopy long hose and out onto the floor.
And he thought, "Even dust has more fun than I do."
Next he thought about radio waves. He read that a microwave has powerful radio waves of a very short wavelength to cook food very quickly. Inside he went.
There was food dancing to the radio waves! He joined them. They danced till they were hot and sweaty. That's how food gets cooked in the microwave. He said bye to the food.
And he thought, "even radio waves have more fun than I do."
Ralph climbed up the toilet to see bacteria. They hollered, "Have some fun with us! Do you want to ride in a waterslide like we do?"
He read that the flusher causes water to rush out of the cistern causing the float to fall and open a water valve. He flushed it.
He spun around and around and went down then up, then down and went down more. It was like being in the fastest waterslide in the world. The bacteria were right behind him. He stopped and thanked the bacteria for inviting him.
He thought, "Even bacteria have more fun than I do."
Bacteria, dust particles, and radio waves have more fun than I do.
So he thought, "Why don't I have fun too?"
He made some friends that were very smart and they had fun all day. Outside!
