Marvin Gaye: Live in Montreux 1980
Motown's premier "Soul Man," Marvin Gaye, electrified the stage at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1980. In this unforgettable performance, Gaye performs such hits as: "Got To Give It Up," "Let's Get It On," "I Heard It Through the Grapevine," and " Mercy, Mercy Me." Marvin Gaye, one of the 20th century's great showmen, received many posthumous awards including induction into the Rock&Roll, Soul Train, and Juke Box Halls of Fame. He was also awarded the R&B Foundation's Pioneer Award and was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He was also the recipient of the ultimate Grammy accolade, the Lifetime of Achievement award and fellow artists continue to pay tribute to him today by recording his songs and sampling his recordings.
