Episodes:
101: Season Opener
Saturday, 7/3 The deciding race of the evening was the 100 lap Madison, which can award up to 30 points to a single team. First place was within reach for Team White in the last sprint of the race, but they became tangled with Pio Apostoli, Toledo and Jim Houston, Lake Orion of Team Blue, almost causing a crash and giving Team Neon a comfortable lead in the last lap. 102: Race Two
Saturday, 7/10 Every race was close and no team dominated, but Team Orange narrowly claimed first place last Friday in the second week of this year's NAS-Track Racing season. Tony Bruley of Rochester Hills and Pio Apostoli of Toledo ended the night with 73 points overall, one point above the second and third place teams. It wasn't much, but it was enough to give them a slim first place victory in the second week of racing. 103: Race Three
Saturday, 7/17 Pio Apostoli of Toledo and Taylor Martin of Hamilton, Ontario let the other racers set the pace during the 100 Lap Madison, hanging on to a second or third place position. On the middle and end laps when points were on the line, however, Martin showed his competitive acceleration and speed by sprinting ahead of the pack. 104: Race Four
Saturday, 7/24 and Wednesday, 7/28 With a 100 lap Madison yet to go, it looked as though the evening's powerhouse Team Pink of Ronnie Sink and Andre Champoux were unbeatable, winners of two 1-mile sprints and the miss-n-out and finishing sixth in the first 50 lap Madison. At the start of the 100, they were a solid 10 points out front and had the legs to win it. Then the unthinkable happened. 105: Race Five
Saturday, 7/31 Team Purple claimed first place Friday after an evening of extremely close competition in Rochester's Velodrome at Bloomer Park. With one more night of racing to go, the racers again demonstrated their competitive spirit and determination as Steve Mlujeak of Rochester Hills and Ray Dybowski of Waterford nabbed first place by a single point. 106: Season Finale
Friday, 9/10 It's here at last! The championship race of the NAS-Track series has taken place - and you can see the highlights this week. You won't want to miss this nail-biter! |
